What is domain rating (DR)?
Domain rating (DR) is a 0-100 score that estimates how strong a domain's backlink profile is compared with other domains, based on how many sites link to it and how strong those linking sites are themselves. Domains with a higher rating tend to rank more easily for competitive keywords. The scale is logarithmic: moving from 20 to 30 takes far fewer links than moving from 70 to 80.
"Domain Rating" is Ahrefs' name for its own score; other SEO data providers publish comparable link-based ranks under their own names, and Google publishes none. This checker shows DataForSEO's domain rank on the same 0-100 scale. Use it to compare sites against each other and to choose keywords your site can realistically rank for, not as a copy of any one vendor's number.

Built by a WordPress agency
We're not a VC-backed startup chasing growth at all costs.
We're a product agency that got tired of fixing AI-generated messes. Every tool we tried failed in the same way: they didn't understand WordPress. They dumped giant blobs of HTML into the editor. They broke our carefully crafted themes. They were unmaintainable. So we built what we wanted — and then sold it.

Domain rating, explained
Is this the same as Ahrefs DR or Moz DA?
No. Domain Rating (Ahrefs) and Domain Authority (Moz) are the proprietary scores of two specific SEO tools. This checker shows DataForSEO's domain rank: the same 0-100 scale and a similar method, link strength weighted by the strength of the linking domains, so it is DR-comparable but will not match either number exactly.
What is a good domain rating?
It depends on your competitors. A new site starts near 0; many small business sites sit between 10 and 30; established publishers reach 60 and above. Compare your score with the sites ranking for your target keywords rather than against an absolute number.
How do I increase my domain rating?
Earn links from relevant, reputable sites. The most dependable way is publishing content worth citing, consistently, and targeting keywords you can rank for, so good posts have a chance to attract links on their own. Link schemes and link exchanges tend to be discounted by Google.
