What is a keyword generator?

A keyword generator is a tool that takes one seed keyword and returns related search queries people type into Google, along with data to choose between them: monthly search volume, keyword difficulty (how hard it is to reach the first page), cost per click, and search intent. It turns a topic idea into a list of specific phrases worth writing about.

The useful keywords are rarely the biggest ones. A phrase with a few hundred searches a month and low difficulty often brings more visitors to a young site than a head term it can't rank for. Sort by difficulty, then pick the terms with the most volume you can realistically win.

Built by a WordPress agency

We're not a VC-backed startup chasing growth at all costs.

We're a product agency that got tired of fixing AI-generated messes. Every tool we tried failed in the same way: they didn't understand WordPress. They dumped giant blobs of HTML into the editor. They broke our carefully crafted themes. They were unmaintainable. So we built what we wanted — and then sold it.

Keyword generator FAQ

Keyword research, explained

Where do the search volumes come from?

They are monthly Google Ads Keyword Planner figures for the country you pick. Google rounds them into buckets (for example 1,000 or 1,300), so treat them as orders of magnitude rather than exact counts.

What does keyword difficulty (KD) mean?

Keyword difficulty is a 0-100 estimate of how hard it is to reach Google's first page for a keyword, based on the authority of the pages already ranking there. 25 or less (the green chip) is realistic for newer sites; 60 and above usually needs a strong domain.

Why are some phrasings of my keyword missing?

Google treats close variants, such as reordered words, plurals and small rewordings, as one search and reports one volume for all of them. The generator shows each search once, under the phrasing closest to your seed, so no volume is counted twice. Ideas either contain your seed keyword or come from Google's related searches, which widen the topic.

How many keywords can I generate?

50 ideas per search, and 10 searches per 10 minutes. Results are cached for 7 days, so repeating a search is instant.
